Turners (Soham) Ltd., the UK's largest DAF fleet operator, has taken delivery of a ‘UK30’ special edition XG+. In a departure from the company's iconic white, orange and red livery, the new truck is finished in an exclusive green metallic paint and features Turner’s original heritage livery.
The limited-edition truck has been allocated to one of the company's longest-serving and most valued drivers Steve Thorpe, who has been with the company for since 1997. The special edition XG+, along with all Turners’ DAF fleet, was supplied by Cambridgeshire- and Suffolk-based family-owned DAF Dealer, Chassis Cab.

The anniversary edition model is number eight of a limited number being built to mark 30 years of DAF market leadership in the UK. The Turners truck is a replacement for the only other XG+ in the company’s 2,000+ DAF vehicle fleet; an acknowledgement to both the significance of the award and the company’s commitment to recognising driver loyalty and performance.
The UK30 special edition in green – Turners' original colour – with period-correct graphics, creates a striking visual link to the company's long history, while showcasing the flagship of the New Generation DAF range. The Cambridgeshire-based operator introduced its well-known white, red and orange livery in 1977.

Built at DAF's Leyland Trucks facility in Lancashire, the UK30 XG+ features exclusive metallic green paint with Union Flag accents, reflecting DAF's enduring legacy of UK manufacturing. Inside, the cab includes premium touches such as unique Xtra leather air seats, Union Flag graphic on the upper bunk, and spacious, refined comfort throughout, making it both a collector’s piece and a functional flagship for long-distance operations.

Turners operates the full New Generation DAF range, including XB, XD, XF, XG and XG+ across its diverse transport operations, which include temperature-controlled, bulk, container, tanker and fuel distribution services. Turners is Europe’s largest operator of DAF's lightweight ‘FTP’ 6x2 mid-lift tractor, with more than 200 New Generation XF and XG 450 models in service. The company was part of DAF's pre-production field test programme and has operated over 1,200 FTP-configured vehicles since 2003.
