In their report, jury members state that the New Generation DAF XD, the International Truck of the Year 2023, sets a high standard in local and national distribution transport ‘with many features that really make a difference’. The jury furthermore highlighted that the XD series offers ‘best direct vision for busy urban areas and a comfortable two-step entry, important for drivers who climb in and out of the cab many times a day’. “The cab offers a supremely comfortable driving position with a bigger seat and steering wheel adjustment range than ever before. The result is a superb environment for driving, working and resting.”
 

‘DAF XFC: High payloads come standard’
To best meet the specific requirements of operators in the construction sector, the New Generation DAF XFC is available with single or double drive and several powerful powertrains. “The XFC features a large approach angle, high ground clearance, a robust steel bumper and steel radiator protection plate: it is clearly designed for the toughest work under harsh conditions”, the jury noted. “In addition, the XFC offers high payloads thanks to low kerb weights. On top of that, when it comes to cab spaciousness and a distinctive exterior styling, the XFC is no less a true winner.”
