DAF Trucks is gearing up for the debut of RTX Scotland, the new Scottish edition of the Road Transport Expo, taking place at Glasgow’s SEC from 19th to 20th November. The event marks a major new platform for the Scottish road transport community, and market-leading DAF Trucks will be there in force, showcasing the company’s innovation, engineering excellence and dealer support.
On the DAF stand, visitors will see two of the most advanced trucks on the road today. The New Generation DAF XG+530 FTS tag-axle 6x2 tractor, the ultimate in long-haul comfort and efficiency, and the XD Electric 350 FT 4x2 tractor, representing DAF’s offering for emissions-free, heavy-duty operations. Together, the vehicles embody DAF’s dual focus on fuel economy and decarbonisation, giving operators a clear view of operational efficiency, whether through diesel power, electrification, or both.

With transport operators expected from across Scotland, Northern Ireland, and northern England, RTX Scotland promises to be a key meeting point for fleets and decision-makers looking to the future of road transport. DAF will be joined by dealer partners from across the region, ready to offer expert insight into the brand’s comprehensive range of vehicles, services and support solutions.
Louis Jones, DAF Trucks’ EV & Connected Services Director, with also be in Glasgow and will be taking part in the RTX Scotland Big Debate: Future Truck Technology. Louis will be joined on stage by other senior figures from the truck industry to discuss the future direction of travel for HGV technology, from fuelling options through to connectivity, safety and automation. Attendees can submit questions to the panel via Slido, the audience interaction mobile-phone platform.
